Lasowice Wielkie [lasɔˈvit͡sɛ ˈvjɛlkʲɛ] / German: Groß Lassowitz, (1936-45 officially Oberwalden) is a village in Kluczbork County, Opole Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Lasowice Wielkie.[1] It lies approximately 13 kilometres (8 mi) south of Kluczbork and 31 km (19 mi) north-east of the regional capital Opole.
The village has a population of 764. In Lasowice Wielkie is an old wooden church from 16 century. The village is officially bilingual as the majority of its population are Germans. Bilingual signs were installed recently: Lasowice Wielkie-Groß Lassowitz.
